I'm in the process of starting to grow my own vegetables. Raised bed is constructed and seeds bought ready to start growing next year 2012. Confused though over what type of manure to use as getting different responses. Can you help?!

I used horse manure this year and it's worked great. We tilled in 3" about 4 wks before planting. The manure was mostly composted, but there was a little bit of fresh stuff in the mix which is why we let the garden sit a little bit before planting. Hope this helps.
